Spencer Gillette is the President of Steven Baldwin Associates. Mr. Gillette brings 15 years of diverse aviation experience, and has served the firm for over a decade in various roles. During his tenure, he has provided professional airport management consultation to over 30 airports across the nation, focusing on airport governance, policy, federal regulations, organizational assessment, and strategic planning projects. He has worked closely with airport executives, policymakers, and legislators to enhance airport operations and is recognized as one of the nation’s leaders in airport governance. As the firm’s President, Mr. Gillette oversees all operational areas, including initiatives for our longstanding retained clients. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management and Operations from Western Michigan University’s distinguished College of Aviation and is a licensed private pilot with an instrument rating.
Steven Baldwin is the founder and President & CEO Emeritus of Steven Baldwin Associates, LLC, a firm specializing in airport management and development. He brings over 30 years of aviation experience, including senior roles in both government and private consulting. He previously led aviation projects across North America as Senior Vice President of a global consulting firm and spent 14 years with the NYS Department of Transportation, managing airport operations and statewide aviation programs. Baldwin also served in the NY Governor’s Office on regulatory reform teams. He is a commercial pilot and flight instructor with degrees from Florida Tech and SUNY Albany.
Lisa Belt is a Senior Associate at Steven Baldwin Associates, LLC, where she leads the firm’s Executive Recruitment and HR Services Division. With over 25 years of experience in human resources, she specializes in senior leadership recruitment, organizational development, labor relations, and succession planning. Previously, she served as Head of HR for the Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, MI. At SBA, she helps clients align HR strategies with organizational goals and advocates for inclusive work environments. Lisa holds a B.B.A. from Northwood University and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification through SHRM.
Associate II
Grant Van Dorn is an Associate II at Steven Baldwin Associates, LLC, where he supports clients through research, analysis, and task management. His work includes airport organizational assessments, performance benchmarking, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement. He has assisted in developing Safety Management System Plans, airport land transfers, and best practice guidelines. Prior to joining SBA, Grant received a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management and Operations from Western Michigan University. He also worked in commercial sales at Avfuel Corporation, managing airline and military fueling contracts, tender processes, and customer relations. Grant is dedicated to enhancing airport operations and passionate about innovation in the aviation industry.
